QED is acquired by Innovation Development
QED Intellectual Property Limited (QED) today announced that it
had been acquired by Innovation Development Limited (Innovation)
– a patent management and licensing company.
Innovation is an intellectual property company specialising in
patenting and licensing of patented technology. In addition to providing
its own licensing services, Innovation owns Hillgate Patent Services
(Hillgate), a patent and trademark firm. Hillgate provides clients
with intellectual property management advice as well as patent drafting
and patent and trademark prosecution services.
In announcing the deal, Neil Muttock, Managing Director of Innovation
Development said “ We have been following the development
of QED for a number of years and believe the two companies have
highly complimentary skills and resources. By combining traditional
patent work with the skills and experience in commercialising IP
and technology, we have the expertise to meet companies’ growing
need to exploit their IP assets.”
