Wacoh Corporation to license out accelerometer sensor technology
The Wacoh Corporation, the award winning Japanese technology design
organisation, today announces its intention to license its patented
MEM accelerometer sensor technology to US and European companies.
Wacoh has appointed QED Intellectual Property Limited, the patent
licensing arm of technology development and licensing company Scipher
plc, (LSE: SIP) to negotiate licences for the use of Wacoh's intellectual
property (IP) and to help transfer the technology to a variety of
consumer product and automotive companies.

Scipher appointed to license Seagate patents
Scipher plc ("Scipher") the technology development and
licensing company today announces that its US patent licensing arm,
Fairfield Resources International, Inc. ("FRI") has secured
an agreement to work with Seagate Technology LLC ("Seagate"),
a world-leading manufacturer of data storage disc drives, to evaluate
and to license technologies within its patent portfolio.

QED appointed to license Deutsche Telekom optoelectronics patents
QED Intellectual Property Limited, the patent licensing arm of
technology development and licensing company Scipher plc, today
announces that it has been appointed by Deutsche Telekom AG ("Deutsche
Telekom") to license a major part of its optoelectronic patent portfolio.

QED licenses Lucent audio software to Trafficmaster™
QED Intellectual Property Limited, the patent licensing arm of
technology development and licensing company Scipher plc, has granted
a licence to Trafficmaster plc ("Trafficmaster") to use
audio technology owned by Lucent Technologies Incorporated ("Lucent").
The software is for use in Trafficmaster's forthcoming in-car vehicle
navigation system, 'Smartnav'.

KPN appoints QED to license opto-electronic technologies
QED Intellectual Property Limited, the patent licensing arm of
technology development and licensing company Scipher plc, has been
appointed by Holland's largest telecommunications company, Royal
KPN N.V. ("KPN"), to license part of their opto-electronic
patent portfolio.
